(CNSNews.com) – Sen. Thomas Carper (D.-Del.), a member of the Senate Finance Committee, told CNSNews.com that he does not “expect” to read the actual legislative language of the committee’s health care bill because it is “confusing” and that anyone who claims they are going to read it and understand it is fooling people.
“I don’t expect to actually read the legislative language because reading the legislative language is among the more confusing things I’ve ever read in my life,” Carper told CNSNews.com.
Carper described the type of language the actual text of the bill would finally be drafted in as “arcane,” “confusing,” “hard stuff to understand,” and “incomprehensible.” He likened it to the “gibberish” used in credit card disclosure forms. READ MORE

Wilson Says:
This guy is right…. but I can’t believe he’s being so honest! A 9-12 group I belong to staged a “reading” of the 1st bill, HR3200 outside the Nashua NH city hall. We took turns reading the bill out loud for 24 hours straight and didn’t quite finish. Nobody could just sit and understand exactly what the legislation means just by reading the bill. Most of the actual text refers to other laws that are being ammended. So you would need to read this at the Natl Archives or something. And have an army of flunkies that you could dispatch to fetch the various other laws and flip them open to the appropriate spot so you could read THAT (which may refer to another document itself).
So, any politican that says they can read “Article II subsection J – line 4 ammends Article IV section 4 subsection K lines 40-41 of the US Social Security act by striking the period at the end of line 40 and addind “or, not explictity prohibited by this ammendment”…. well they are full of hooey. I don’t know how anyone knows what the law is, but I do know now why most politicians are lawyers.
