You just might get it!!

Once again Chandler’s Watch is ahead of the power curve.  You see this past Friday, July 3^rd, Tommy and I did the show on the House Judiciary Resolution that was proposed back in January by Rep. Serrano to repeal the 22^nd Amendment; then I was sent a link to a website that is devoted to repealing the 22^nd Amendment to give President Obama a third term.  And although we don’t believe that it will go anywhere the threat still stands, as long as it is out there it has a chance to gain support.  And if the left wants President Obama to have more than eight years to successfully march us down the same road that Marx and Stalin marched Russia down they better get crackin’ now!  But be careful what you wish for, you just may get it.

There is only one President of the United States of America who has served as President for longer than two terms, Franklin Delano Roosevelt.  The rest have served two terms or less, some good some bad and some were just taking up a seat.  But this is not about good Presidents or bad ones, it is about a bad ideology.

It is not just one Representative that is pushing the idea of repealing the 22^nd Amendment there are websites and blogs on the internet that are pushing the idea as well.  Saturday morning July 4th I opened my email and found that someone had sent a link to one of these websites to me.  It was not about freedom of choice or the people should be allowed to choose who they truly want to be President; it was all about giving Barak Obama the opportunity to run for a third term.  When I told Tommy about it he said something that I found to be very profound, and that shocked me coming out of the mouth of a Corporal, “That’s pretty conceited and arrogant if you ask me.  Obama hasn’t even finished his first term and been elected to a second one yet.”  No, President Obama isn’t even through the first quarter of his first term yet, that is true; but look at how far down the road of socialism/communism that we have already been pushed.

The federal government has grabbed power in so many ways it is scary to me.  They have taken over banks, they have taken over private business and spread the spoils to their political supporters, they are attempting to hijack our energy industry.  Where and when will it end?  President Obama is now saying that the nation should follow in the footsteps of the State of California.  Sounds good to me, I wonder if the Bunny Ranch will take IOU’s from the federal government like they will from California? 

In an era where more and more people are looking to term limits for our Representatives and Senators I really don’t think that this will fly?  Or will it?  Congress is choosing not to investigate the substantiated allegations of voter registration and voter fraud perpetrated by ACORN; well Rep. John Conyers who was put in charge of conducting an investigation, and whose wife just plead guilty to accepting bribes in Detroit, is opting not to follow through with an investigation of ACORN.  So how are we to trust that our government is looking out for our best interests?  I guess if you are a drinker of the kool aid they are.

Even though like I have said above I don’t think this will fly, it could.  Stop and think about this: President Obama is trying to pull the census into the Executive Branch of the government.  Ok yes the Commerce Department is already under the umbrella of the Executive Branch; but the census is to be conducted by the Commerce Department under the supervision of the House of Representatives and the Senate.  Does it really matter who supervises the census?  Yes it makes all the difference in the world.  When supervised by the two houses of Congress there is more transparency because there are members of both political parties seated in these bodies of government; whereas there is only one political party represented in the White House.  Am I trying to allege that President Obama would continue his power grab by manipulating the numbers and information gathered in the census?  Not really, but why would we give either party the opportunity to abuse power?  The power to manipulate the numbers gives those in charge the opportunity to skew them one way or the other, thus changing the make up of the two houses of Congress.  This could take us even further down the road of single party rule.  It seems like we are already there at times, but there are still differences in the ideology of the two parties that are squabbling over the spoils of hard working Americans.  How they could do this is a separate issue that you can find the answers to at http://chandlerswatch.com.

I could see the benefit of a third or fourth term of President Ronald Reagan, I fear a second term of President Barak Obama; but I really wonder how the left that is pushing for a third Obama term now would feel about a third term of President George W. Bush?  Like I said, be careful of what you wish for, you just may get it!!
